Experiência profissionalThroughout my 15 years of ESL teaching experience I have had the pleasure of working closely with individuals and groups from beginners through to near-native fluency. My students have come from diverse business backgrounds, from small start-ups through to global corporations. My focus is to introduce students to the English language which opens up a wide variety of job and travel opportunities for them in the future.
As well as the planning and delivery of high-quality teaching in physical and virtual setting, I also employ a range of traditional and progressive methodology, with an emphasis on incorporating opportunities for experiential learning whenever possible. While I often use course books for all levels (A1 to C2), I enjoy creating and using tailored materials to address specific learning needs and requirements.
I start by finding out from the student what level of spoken and written English they possess then; I design a curriculum with the goal of increasing their English skills according to their future needs. I give students a firm foundation of proper grammar, vocabulary, and the ability to converse and write English intelligibly.
My professional, corporate and communication skills enable me to present interesting, enjoyable and educational topics in classes. I also include simulations of job interview preparation, corporate presentations about projects, products, etc. with the objective of engaging students in the learning process and ensure that everything taught is remember and applied in their personal and professional lives.
In addition to my profession experience, I hold a bachelor’s degree in administration and a Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA).
